The United States Coast Guard was formed August 4th, 1790 by the first Continental Congress to enforce
tariff and trade laws, prevent smuggling and protect the collection of Federal Revenue. The U.S. Coast Guard's
responsibilities have grown to include saving lives of seafarers, protecting the U.S. coastline and ports as well as
enforcing our laws at sea. In times of peace, the U.S. Coast Guard operates as part of the Homeland Security Administration.
During times of war, the USCG serves under the Department of the Navy. Thank you to all the dedicated members of the USCG for your
continued service protecting our country. We have compiled some links to assist you in finding the correct insignia, awards and accessories
