Insignia Description
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Tenné, on a pale Argent issuing from base a radio tower of the field emitting four flashes counterchanged. Attached below the shield a motto scroll inscribed "WE TRANSMIT" in black letters.
Symbolism
Orange and white are used for the Signal Corps. The radio tower and flashes represent the early mission of the Battalion, that of the construction function and operation of the message center.
History
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 19 Nov 1941.
