Insignia Description
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/16 inches (2.70cm) in height overall; On a wreath Or and Azure a dragon rampant Vert, armed and langued Gules, within a scroll bearing the motto "ELEMENTIS REGAMUS PROELIUM" (Let Us Rule the Battle by Means of the Elements).

Symbolism
The colors yellow and blue are the colors of the Chemical Corps. The dragon, a legendary creature, symbolizes the fire and destruction of chemical warfare.

History
The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the Chemical Warfare School on 1 May 1934. It was redesignated for the Chemical Corps School on 27 May 1953. The insignia was cancelled on 13 Aug 1976. The insignia was reinstated, redesignated and amended to revise the description for the U.S. Army Chemical School on 22 Feb 1980.
